The Rice Museum in Georgetown, SC, Features Annual Watercolor Exhibition

The Prevost Gallery at the Rice Museum in Georgetown, SC, is presenting the 23rd Annual Georgetown Watercolor Society Art Exhibition through Nov. 3, 2001.

This years event will also feature a special exhibition by their Lifetime Members. The wall of honor will feature work by Bette Fogel, this years "honoree". She is being honored for her didicated service and leadership in the watercolor society. Fogel is a charter member and long time resident of Georgetown and has been nominated and approved by the society to receive this award. She is a past president, holder of office and chairmanships.

Other lifetime members being featured are Johnnie Cowan, founding member of the society, past president, office holder and instructor, along with Eleanor Spruill, James Fitch, director of the Rice Museum and Alex Powers.

There are 51 members in the watercolor society this year and most have entered works. There is a nice variety of subjects and styles to make the show very interesting.
