Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Presents The Great Paint Off!

Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, is proud to present The Great Paint Off! The show, Four Artists, One Subject - a landscape "paint- off" featuring work by four of Charlotte's favorite artists will be on view from Oct. 10 through Nov. 30, 2003.

The exhibit includes works by Andrew Braitman of Braitman Studios, Charlotte Latin School's own Clark Hawgood, Darren Young, featured art teacher at Winthrop and Wingate Universities and Central Piedmont Community College, and the Southeast's favorite, Connie Winters (and mother of Darren Young mentioned above.)

What is a "Paint Off"? - All four artists have gathered together at specific locations in the Carolinas to paint designated scenes from different artistic perspectives. The show will feature paintings from all four artists.

Established in 1998, the Shain Gallery has earned a reputation as one of the finest contemporary art providers in Charlotte. Located in lovely Myers Park, off Providence Road, and owned by Gabrielle Shain-Bryson, Charlotte Magazine awarded the gallery its "Best Conservative Artwork" distinction in 2002. Shain Gallery serves a clientele of regional homeowners and corporations and represents over twenty different nationally and regionally acclaimed artists.

This show is free and open to the public.
