Arts Council of Beaufort Co. in Beaufort, SC, Features Works by South Carolina Artisans

The Arts Council of Beaufort County in Beaufort, SC, will present the exhibition, Handmade in the South, the 2003 South Carolina Artisans Exhibit, at the USCB Art Gallery from Jan. 6 - 24, 2003. The artists participating in the show and sale are juried members of the SC Artisans Center, SC's Official Artisans Center, in Walterboro, SC.

On Jan. 10, 2003, selected artists, including decoy carver, potter, woodworker, fiber artist and metal sculptor will be demonstrating their crafts and educating students in the local Beaufort County schools area. On Jan 11, 2003, artists will be demonstrating at the USCB Art Gallery between the hours of 10am and 3pm. Featured artists will include a potter, woodworker and fiber artist.

The Arts Council of Beaufort County is committed to the support of art through its monthly exhibitions at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. The Arts Council is the Lowcountry's leading local arts organization and presents arts opportunities, cultural support, and creative leadership for the
community.
