This expansive show (over 100 photographs) will feature work from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, up until current time, and will illustrate many of the social flavors of each decade.

Doren studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology with Minor White and Ralph Hattersley. His photographs are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, George Eastman House of Photography, MIT, Dallas Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design Museum, and Meridian Museum of Art. He has had solo exhibitions at Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Durham Arts Council, and Duke University. He has participated in many juried and invitational shows, including Art on Paper at the Weatherspoon Museum of Art in greensboro, NC, numerous times.

"The strength of Photography is its ability to record light in a special way, a way unlike any other art form. You cannot talk it, draw it, paint it or dance it, in the unique way photography can capture it; and these images that do catch light in its special essence are always the most powerful and best remembered," says Doren.

Also, exhibiting at TAG is sculpture by Lifespan Services art students. LifeSpan in a nonprofit social agency, which focuses on assisting developmentally disabled adults and children with educational, and employment services. Through a grant received from Guilford County CBO, LifeSpan was able to purchase a kiln and other clay supplies, and with the guidance of potter, Molly Lithgo and Lifespan art teachers Stela Tomas and Jeannine Dixon, a clay studio was established. One of the clients' first group creations was a giant tile tree sculpture. This piece and other displays will be featured in TAG's Hallway Gallery.
