The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, SC, Host Second Annual Winter Art Show
In conjunction with
the Charleston Fine Art Dealers' Association and Art &
Antiques Magazine, The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, SC, will
host the Second Annual Winter Art Show on Jan. 20 &
21, 2006.
During this exclusive weekend, guests will be treated to a stunning
selection of artwork from renowned regional and national artists,
a cocktail reception and a preview of art works in the hotel lobby
at The Sanctuary, a gallery tour of Charleston and a Gala Reception
at Terrace Ballroom featuring a presentation by nationally renowned
art critic, Hilton Kramer.
The event program includes: Fri., Jan. 20, 2006, from 5:30-7:30pm
- a Cocktail Reception & Preview of Artwork; Sat., Jan. 21,
2006, from 9:30am-5pm - an Art Walk of the city's most prominent
galleries. Transportation to and from Charleston will be provided,
then from 7:30-9:30pm - Winter Art Show Gala Reception at Terrace
Ballroom featuring a presentation by nationally renowned New
York Times art critic, Hilton Kramer.
The Sanctuary will offer special rates for packages: $320 per
person based on double occupancy and $595 for single (rates do
not include accommodations tax and service charge). The package
includes two night accommodations, tickets for Cocktail Reception
and Gala Reception, and transportation to Charleston. Individual
tickets for Cocktail Reception and Gala Reception are $149.
Participating galleries include: Ann Long Fine Art, Carolina Galleries, Charleston Renaissance Gallery, Coleman Fine Art, Ella Walton Richardson Fine Art Gallery, Horton Hayes Fine Art, John Carroll Doyle Art Gallery, Margaret Petterson Gallery, Martin Gallery, Smith-Killian Fine Art, The Sylvan Gallery and Wells Gallery.
