Transylvania Arts Council in Brevard, NC, Features Works by Regional Artists

The Transylvania Arts Council features art works by regional artists in the exhibit, A Sense of Place. The exhibit will open Jan. 16 and will be on view through Feb. 23, 2007. The artists participating in the exhibit created work interpreting the title in any way they choose. This non-juried show includes fine art, craft, photography and sculpture.

The show is co-sponsored by the Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy, which helps landowners protect local land and water resources vital to our natural heritage and quality of life.  As a local nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the places you love, CMLC is helping to create a regional network of more than 12,800 acres of protected farm, forest, park, and natural lands in Transylvania, Henderson, and neighboring parts of Buncombe, Rutherford, Jackson and Polk counties.

TC Arts is a nonprofit organization with the mission to "Celebrate and Nurture the Creative Spirit in Transylvania County." The Arts Council receives support from TC Arts Members, the City of Brevard, Transylvania County Schools, and the North Carolina Arts Council.
