Spencer & Sumner Gallery in Charleston, SC, Extends Sculpture Exhibition

Responding to numerous requests and a tremendously favorable response, the whimsical found-object sculpture exhibit of works by Martha Bostick Gunter at the Spencer & Sumner Gallery in Charleston, SC, has been extended until Jan. 4, 2001.

"Our Grand Opening on Oct. 6, was so well attended - we had over 1,000 guests - that many people did not get a chance to see the Sculpture Garden." said Jerry Spencer, co-owner with his wife, Catherine Brandt-Spencer. "Also quite a few people have asked us to hold the exhibit over during the coming Holiday Season so they could bring holiday visitors."

"We were extremely pleased to have Martha's delightful artworks as our opening exhibit in our new sculpture garden," adds Spencer. "Comments from those who have seen the exhibit reinforce our opinions about Martha's talent."

Typical comments: "Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories", "Full of life", "Making meaning out of what most find meaningless", "Excellent approach to found beauty in life", "Amazed and amused", "Artistically visionary", "Pure frivolity", "Nice spring--Boing", "Delightful", "I think you will bring smiles for many days to come", "Makes one think", "Inspired" and "I will be remembering these pieces".
