Art Gallery Unlimited in Charlotte, NC, NODA Area Features Work by Polish Artists

Art Gallery Unlimited in Charlotte, NC, is presenting several exhibitions of works by Polish artists through the end of the year. The exhibition entitled, These Mountains and Valleys, features 21 watercolors by Dariusz Orszulik. The exhibition will be on view through Dec. 28.

Orszulik was born in 1958 in Zakopane, Poland. Through his work he attempts to preserve the world of vanishing old cabins and wayside chapels and expresses his connection to Nature, a source of his inspiration and creativity. Orszulik is considered one of the finest watercolor painters in Poland. His works are very popular and are copied in hundreds of albums, calendars and postcards.

On Dec. 7, Art Gallery Unlimited will present an exhibition of 20 contemporary paintings by Piotr Lucjan. The exhibition will be on view through Jan. 26, 2002.

Lucjan was born in 1960 in Lublin, Poland. His figurative works remind one of paintings from caves of silicon epoch. But the humans in Lucjan's paintings live in the 20th century, but in huge caves, in a modern civilization, with all their problems, nostalgias and seeking of the other 'self'.

Lucjan has had several individual exhibitions in Poland, Italy, USA and Sweden and his works are in numerous private and public collections throughout the world.
