The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC, Offers Exhibitions by Cindy Wynn and Anna Tomczak
Asheville, NC, iron sculpture artist Cindy Wynn will be exhibiting her furniture in the Cone Center Main Gallery at UNC-Charlotte in Charlotte, NC, from Nov. 5 - 30, 2003. Anna Tomczak will exhibit photographs in the Rowe Arts Main Gallery from Nov. 10 through Dec. 10, 2003.
As part of the exhibition, Cindy Wynn: Function Form Furniture, Michael Mauney will also display a photo essay of Wynn at work on various sculptures that are comfortable functional furniture made from cogs and gears, cement and glass, conveyor rollers and bulldozer treads and assorted other found objects.
Anna Tomczak of Lake Helen, FL, works with a 20" x 24" Polaroid camera and transfers the images to hot press watercolor paper. Her images are of objects that symbolize personal life experiences with references to other art forms: painting, music and the movement of dance.
