Fraser Fox Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Offers Exhibit Focused on Cumberland Island, GA

One magical sea island, five days and six accomplished visions will create a spectacular exhibition titled, Six Masters on Cumberland Island. Fraser Fox Fine Art in Charleston, SC, will host the exhibit on view from Nov. 4 - 30, 2005. The show will present travel paintings of Cumberland Island by six of America's finest painters en plein air. West Fraser shares his passion of Georgia's southern most barrier island with friends and fellow masters, Kenn Backhaus, John Budicin, Gil Dellinger, Billyo O'Donnell and Joseph Paquet.

West Fraser has spent the past 20 years painting and exploring the captivating landscape of Cumberland Island, and now it is his pleasure to introduce these fine artists to this magnificent sea island. He considers it a privilege to bring fresh, talented eyes to this unspoiled locale. These painters are known throughout the country for their paintings created en plein air. Recording the moment, the impression received, presenting to the world the experience of standing in a particular spot is the achievement of these masters of the brush.

At the corner of Queen and State Streets in the downtown, historic French Quarter district of Charleston, Fraser and his partner, Helena Fox have created a gallery welcoming to all and featuring representational art, trompe l'oeil, sculpture and 22K gold handcrafted jewelry.
