Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville in SC Features Works by Bailie

The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville in Greenville, SC, will present an exhibit of works by Bailie, on view from Nov. 1-30, 2008.

Bailie is a talented artist, based in Spartanburg, SC, who works in several artistic genres including graphic arts, portraits, and murals. His newest venture, Shadowland, has been several years in the making. What started as doodles has grown into wonderful illustrations, artwork, and a soon-to-be-released book.

Loosely based on Alice in Wonderland, Shadowland is quite intriguing. Imagine yourself in a 1940s town that has all the charm of Mayberry combined with the dark side of Elm Street. All the residents have old-fashioned, rag doll heads, yet, are still human and do not know they are different from any other community.

Bailie's rather bizarre Shadowland characters have warm personalities and dark secrets. They offer the viewer a humorous but surreal experience. Come immerse yourself in this whimsical and imaginative showing.
