Cabarrus Arts Council in Concord, NC, Offers Three New Exhibits

Cabarrus Arts Council in Concord, NC, is presenting three new exhibits including: Figuratively Speaking, featuring works by 13 artists of rendering of the human body; Shop Seagrove, featuring works by potters from this famous NC pottery town; and The Home of the Perfect Christmas Tree. All exhibits are on view at the Galleries at the Cabarrus Arts Council, located in Cabarrus County's historic courthouse through Dec. 22, 2009.

The exhibit, Figuratively Speaking, includes works by Robert Crum, Warren Dennis, Holly Fischer, Tim Ford, Jan Kransberger, Lukas Johnson, Eric Olsen, Osiris Rain, Joan Rasmussen, Mark Stephenson, Kate Long Stevenson, Beth Tarkington and Megan Van Deusen.

Shop Seagrove includes pottery from six of the famed pottery town's potteries: Avery Pottery and Tileworks, Cady Clay Works, Dirtworks Pottery, Chris Luther Pottery, Crystal King Pottery and King's Pottery.

The Home of the Perfect Christmas Tree includes ornaments and other handcrafted items based on Gloria Houston's book, The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree.
