Charleston Crafts Gallery in Charleston, SC, Holds Grand Opening - Nov. 6, 2009

Celebrating its 21st year, the members of Charleston Crafts have relocated the gallery to 161 Church Street in Charleston, SC. The move returns Charleston Crafts Gallery to downtown Charleston's French Quarter area, after eleven years at 87 Hasell Street. The new location, across from Tommy Condon's restaurant and just a half block from Market Street, has more space and a fresh new look, with new displays, lighting, and a unique mosaic tile entry.

Members "initiated" the gallery's new space, by opening in time for the Oct 2, 2009, French Quarter Art Walk. Now they're ready to host their Grand Opening for the new location, on Nov 6, 2009, from 5-7:30pm. There will be refreshments, cello music by Joshua Miller, drawings for handcrafted items, and an opportunity to meet the artists. Charleston's Mayor Joe Riley will "Cut the Ribbon" at 5:15pm to get things going. We hope you can join the members in their new digs. Parking is plentiful, with numerous street level parking lots in close proximity, and the Cumberland Street parking garage located above and adjacent to the gallery.

If you're looking for a functional piece or whimsical gift, you'll find it here. And, the best part of shopping at Charleston Crafts is that all items were designed and created by South Carolina Artists. The artists of Charleston Crafts look forward to welcoming you in the new gallery, so swing by any time, as well as during the special Grand Opening on Nov 6.

For information on gallery membership or participation in Piccolo Spoleto Fine Crafts shows, call the gallery at 843/723-2938 or visit (www.CharlestonCrafts.org).
