Pink House Gallery in Charleston, SC, Offers Works by Audrey Dillard Price

The Pink House Gallery in Charleston, SC, will be presenting an exhibit of works by Audrey Dillard Price, on view through Jan. 31, 2010. Price is the newest member of the Pink House Gallery.

Depicting the floral abundance of her own award winning gardens, Price's brilliant paintings often include luscious fruits and exotic fabrics, as well as objects d'art from her extensive collection gathered during her painting travels in Europe. Greatly influenced by the Impressionists, Price has even painted in Monet's Garden in Giverny.

A native South Carolinian, Price studied at the Museum School of Art in Greenville, SC, the area she and her husband call home. She studied with Henry Caselli, Barbara Necchis, and Robert Johnson, but credits her drawing proficiency to her work with Greenville artists Carl Blair. Having always loved nature and the exquisite details of flora and fauna, Price has evolved her own personal style and the sumptuous colors of her paintings reflect her exuberance for life and the beauty surrounding us.

Price's art appears in many private collections throughout the world and also in several corporate headquarters. Professional since 1980, Price has had several solo exhibits and has shown in juried shows all over the East coast. She participated in the Piccolo Spoleto Outdoor Art Exhibit for 17 years.

Price executes her vivid paintings in both oils and watercolors. Her work is now available exclusively in the Pink House Gallery in Charleston.

The Pink House Gallery also offers florals, landscapes, wildlife and a full line of Charleston scenes, featuring works by Alice S. Grimsley, Nancy W. Rushing, Bruce W. Krucke, and Alexandria H. Bennington, as well as works by Ravenel Gaillard.
