Hilton Head Art League on Hilton Head Island, SC, Offers Holiday Arts Boutique Exhibit

As the holidays are quickly approaching, shopping for gift items is uppermost in everyone's mind. The Hilton Head Art League Gallery in Hilton Head, SC, has many gift ideas to suit your needs. The Gallery is chock-full of beautiful art work as well as craft items especially designed for gift giving this holiday season. Make the Gallery your first stop this shopping season. The Holiday Arts Boutique runs through Jan. 5, 2002.

You will find many unique, one-of-a-kind gifts designed by well known island artists. Joanne Burgess has designed Santa and snowmen ornaments along with miniature gourd birdhouses. Unique jewelry gift pieces including pendants, bracelets and rings were designed by Caroline Alderman and Angela Erdy, perfect for the discriminating woman. John Diamond's incomparable woodturnings include wine stoppers, bowls and pens, a must for anyone who likes the look and feel of wood. Dawn Duff's Ho, Ho Hilton Head personalized angel and elf ornaments add a special touch for your gift giving. Ceramic items, many with a Christmas theme, are available from Ann White, Joann Mejer and Lon Cox. Various sized Santas, as well as angels and note cards, are being offered by Doris Shay and Ellen Huey.

You can also visit the Hilton Head Art League Gallery in Pineland Station to see member artists demonstrating during Dec., every Sat., from 11am-2pm, you can visit and speak with the featured artists as they paint in the gallery. The artists painting in oils and acrylics in Dec. are Peter Hadfalvi, Dec. 1; Bobsey Simes, Dec. 8 and Susan Citron on Dec. 29. Featured watercolorist in Dec. is Don Theodore on Dec.15. Tom Keefe will be demon-strating stained glass techniques on Dec. 22.

Fine art is always available at the Gallery. Paintings in a variety of styles, subjects and mediums provide a wide choice for the purchaser. There is also a broad selection of prints, photography, giclées and note cards. If you are undecided, gift certificates are available in any denomination.
