Artists' Loft in Mt. Pleasant, SC, Features Works by William Davie

The Artists' Loft in Mt. Pleasant, SC, is presenting the exhibit, Mystical Moments, featuring works by William Davies, through Dec. 31, 2005.

Early on, Davies's artwork was inspired by life on the shore of Lake Erie, NY. Now, the captivating habitat of the Carolinas stimulates his imagination and brush strokes. His evolving love affair with the elements of water and nature is uniquely captured in his paintings, which bridge the spectrum of serene and mystical drama to bold passion.

In his own words, Davies observes "that his artwork tends to reflect the rhythm and intensity of a moment in time, which can change with one's perception."

Davies was trained at the Albright Institute of Art and the Bryant Art Studio in New York. He has studied with notable artists Charles Burchfield, Sandra Chessman and Larry Griffith. In addition to his expanding portfolio, Davies has been commissioned to create art for private and corporate sectors. He has exhibited at Charleston's Piccolo Spoleto Festival.

The gallery will also be offering its Annual Holiday Art Tree, filled with 4" x 4" miniture paintings through Dec. 31, 2005.
