Tidwell Art Gallery Offers Millennium Wildlife Show

Tidwell Art Gallery, Charleston, SC, will host an exhibit entitled, Millennium Wildlife Show, on Feb. 15. The exhibit featuring the works of Martin Ahrens, Matt Constantine and Joyce Hall will continue through Mar. 31.

Charleston will be host to the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition, an event which features top wildlife artists from throughout the world, which attracts up to 50,000 wildlife art lovers to the city. This year's event, the 18th, will take place Feb. 18-20. Tidwell Art Gallery will once again be offering wildlife works by some of the Lowcountry's most talented artists.

Martin Ahrens has exhibited his works in the prestigious Birds in Art Show at the Leigh Yawkey Museum and had images selected for their nationally touring exhibition. He was also an invitational artist at the Yankee Heritage National Wildlife Show. Ahrens' work has also been given awards at the Art Show at the Dog Show and has had work featured in Canine Art Magazine.

Matt Constantine was the youngest artists to win the SC Carolina Duck Stamp competition. One of his works was selected as the 2000 duck stamp. He was also the youngest artist to win the competition for the SC Fish Stamp in 1998 and the only artist ever to win both competitions. Constantine was invited to exhibit in the wildlife show at the National Zoo in Washington, DC and will be featured in the Feb. issue of Sporting Classics.

Joyce Hall was the first South Carolina artist to be invited to exhibit at the Birds in Art Show at the Leigh Yawkey Museum. She has also exhibited and won awards in the International Nature Fair, National Oil and Acrylic Painters of America Show, the Art Show at the Dog Show, Art and the Animal exhibit, and the Kentucky National Wildlife Show. Hall has had her works featured in Kentucky Afield, Equine Art News, and most recently in the Northlights publication, Best of Wildlife II.
