Richland Co. Library in Columbia, SC, Features Works by Bettye Ackerman Jaffe

The Main Branch of the Richland County Public Library system in Columbia, SC, is presenting an exhibition of works by Bettye Ackerman. The exhibit will be on view in the Wachovia Gallery through Mar. 28, 2002.

Jaffe, originally from Cottageville, SC, is well known for her use of bright, vivid colors. She attended Otis Art Institute where she studied primarily with Joseph Mugnaini and George DeGroat. Her work has been published in Mugnaini's books Oil Painting: Techniques and Materials, The Hidden Elements of Drawing, Expressive Drawing and Actors as Artists.
