North Charleston City Gallery in North Charleston, SC, Hosts Works by Dennis Clevenger & Susan Cato

The City of North Charleston's Cultural Arts Department will present the works of Dennis Clevenger and Susan Cato during the month of Feb. 2003 at the North Charleston City Gallery in North Charleston, SC.

Dennis Clevenger is a local award-winning member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society and has been recognized nationally for his exceptional work by his induction into the National Watercolor Society. Many of his pieces hang in private and corporate collections across the United States. Clevenger's work includes wildlife scenes, local landmarks, and pieces with a rustic theme.

Susan Cato, a resident of Summerville, SC, is an avid professional oil painter. She has entitled her exhibit Celebration of Natural Treasures. Subjects of her work include wildlife, the gifts of nature found in her husband's flower gardens, and most recently the artistic re-creation of statuary found on exhibit in public museums and parks. She strives to bring exquisite features of these subjects to life, paying particular attention to fine detail. Cato has developed an artistic appreciation through the use of photography to capture her subjects, which has grown into a second exciting profession.
