Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Island, SC, Features Group Photography Exhibition

The Camera Club of Hilton Head Island will hold an exhibition of member photographs in the Jarvis Room of the Coastal Discovery Museum on Hilton Head Island, SC. The exhibit entitled, Low Country Thru The Lens, will be on view from Feb. 16 through Apr. 16, 2007. The exhibit will feature over 100 photographs, both digital and film, taken by Camera Club members.

Many of these photographs will be available for sale, as well as matted images and note cards in the gift shop at the Museum. There will be a "People's Choice' vote during the first two weeks of the exhibit where exhibit visitors may vote for their favorite photo.

A series of hour-long "Gallery Talks" on various aspects of photography will be offered during the show on Saturdays at 11am in the Jarvis Room. The talks are presented by members of the Camera Club and are free and open to the public. No reservations are required. The scheduled dates and subjects are as follows: Feb. 24 - Know Your Camera; Mar. 3 - Composition; Mar. 10 - Lighting; Mar. 17 - People, Places & Things; Mar. 24 - What Do I Do Now?; and Mar. 31 - Printing.

The Camera Club was started in 1988 and now has more than 150 members. They are a membership organization that meets monthly. For further information about the Camera Club, visit (www.cchhi.org).
