RedSky Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Offers Works by Ann Cunningham & Deb Karash

RedSky Gallery in the Dilworth area of Charlotte, NC, will present, Vibrancy: Anne Cunningham and Deb Karash, featuring wall sculptures by Cunningham and jewelry by Karash, on view from Feb. 5 - Mar. 9, 2010.

Anne Cunningham

Since 1990, Cunningham has been on an exciting exploration using metals such as copper, brass, and aluminum to create large and small free-form shapes. "Every day is an experiment" - discovering new ways to add texture and shape the metals, layering with papers, weaving cut strips, applying inks, dyes, chemicals and paints. With no constricting boundaries, her work continues to change and evolve.

Cunningham's work is represented in 12 galleries around the Southeast and in Private and Corporate Collections such as S.A.S. Institute, Duke Medical Center, Bank of Birmingham, Carolina Power & Light, Wake Medical Centers and United Health Care, Salt Lake City. Recently, Cunningham's work was voted "Best of North Carolina Artists, First Place in Mixed Media".

Deb Karash

Jewelry artist Deb Karash draws inspiration from natural textures, fiber, stone and mixed media paintings and sculpture. Her jewelry reflects the mystery and richness of individual lives and personalities. Surface, color and texture are as important as the form itself.

RedSky Gallery features original works on paper and canvas, sculpture, ceramic, glass, studio furniture, art-to-wear, jewelry, and more. Over 500 regional and national artists are represented at three gallery locations in Dilworth, Blakeney Town Centre in South Charlotte and the EpiCentre in Uptown.
