Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC, Features Works by Members - Vote for the Winners

Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg in Spartanburg, SC, will present its 2nd Annual Members Awards Show, featuring works by Guild members, on view in the Guild Gallery, located in the Chapman Cultural Center, from Feb. 3 - 20, 2014. A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Feb. 20, from 6-9pm. This is a great time to meet all of the artists and congratulate the winners!

If you walk into the Artists’ Guild of Spartanburg Gallery in Chapman Cultural Center during February, you’ll be asked to vote! Once again the public is asked to select by ballot the four winners from this year’s show. More than 800 votes came in last year.

Guild Director Robin Els said, “We hope to see over 1000 votes this year! The community responded so positively last year to our show, and we were not only grateful for the wonderful support, we were also so happy that our artists were able to receive such great exposure in a relatively short period of time. So help us spread the word and don’t forget to come in and pick your own four favorite pieces in this year’s show!” Ballots will be in the Gallery.

While most art pieces will be two dimensional (paintings, mixed media, and photography), there will also be three dimensional pieces in jewelry, pottery, and sculpture. The Guild adds new members all during the year, so some of the artists exhibiting this year will be new to the community. The public is encouraged to come and meet the new members!
