CHANGES at Hand in Hand Gallery

An exhibition entitled CHANGES shows the new works of nature photographer, Bill Robertson and basketmaker Bonnie Jean Bertlshofer, as well as highlights the new and expanded exhibition space of the Hand in Hand Gallery located in Flat Rock, NC. The exhibition continues through Apr. 22.

Having the new space allows the gallery to truly showcase the work of the many talented artists both here in the area and those throughout the Southeast. The new area is spacious and flooded with natural light, which makes for a very enjoyable and comfortable viewing experience for the public.

Greenville, SC photographer Bill Robertson magically captures his love of nature with his vibrant photographs. An avid hiker and naturalist, Robertson's camera captures breathtaking and intriguing moments that he finds in the area, from the mountains to the low country. From majestic, hidden waterfalls to the delicate beauty of local wildflowers, Robertson's passion for nature seemingly comes alive through his work.

Southern Highland Guild member and Brevard resident Bonnie Jean Bertlshofer has been a basketmaker since 1984. What started as a hobby has blossomed into a passion for Bertlshofer. Natural resources, combined with fascinating embellishments and graceful shapes, are what make her baskets so intriguing. Although an accomplished maker of traditional baskets, the "art baskets' she creates are truly one-of-a-kind.
