Art League of Henderson County in Hendersonville, NC, Offers Works by Susanne Karnatz
The Art League of Henderson County will present an exhibit of works by Susanne Karnatz, a master pastellist from Brevard, NC. The exhibit will be on display at Opportunity House, in Hendersonville, NC, from Mar. 6 - 31, 2008.
Karnatz's extensive art background is reflected in her accomplished impressionistic-realistic paintings. She was educated at Skidmore College, The Art Institute of Chicago, and the American Academy of Art. She has also studied with Albert Handell, Richard Schmid, Burt Silverman among other nationally known artists.
Karnatz has been accepted in exhibitions at the Art Institute of Chicago, The Salmagundi Club (NY), and the Society des Pastellists de France, the Asheville Art Museum and many other national and international shows.
Karnatz is a member of the Pastel Society of America: Master Pastellists, Southeast Pastel Society, Atlanta: Member of Excellence, the Appalachian Pastel Society of NC and more. She is the recipient of numerous major awards, among them the Pastel Society of America where she received recognition as Master Pastellist.
