The Beet Contemporary Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Work by Janette Grassi

The Beet Gallery in Charlotte, NC's NoDa Art District is presenting the exhibition, Salon 2008, featuring abstract paintings and mixed media work by Janette Grassi, on view from Mar. 7 - 29, 2008.

Grassi has been creating art her entire life.  Her studies include traditional fine art and graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Her work is in many private and commercial collections. One of her pieces can currently be seen in the exhibit, Mark B. Coplan Collection of Art at the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia, SC.

The show at Beet will have a salon-like quality, lots of art in a small space, giving the public an overview of Grassi's work.

Grassi will follow up the Beet show with Stretch "Type" a collaborative exhibition on view from May 9 through June 8, 2008, at Queen's University in Charlotte, with friend and collaborator Doni Jordan. The Stretch "Type" show will include the women's most recent work, mixed media pieces, paintings and collage.
