Benedict College Gallery in Columbia, SC, Features Work of Dixie Dugan

The Benedict College Fine Art Gallery located in the Henry Ponder Fine Arts & Humanities Center at Benedict College, Columbia, SC, is featuring an exhibit by Dixie Dugan entitled, Images of the Past and Views of the Future. The exhibit of watercolors and drawings will be on view through Apr. 15.

Dugan, a resident of Myrtle Beach, SC, is an artist with a flair, whose mastering of watercolor, be it cityscape, landscape, seascape, or the figure, pulls the viewer like a magnet into the translucent and fluidity of every brush stroke that transforms each painting. Many of the images in the exhibition portray her sensitivity to the African American communities in South Carolina.

For further information check our SC Institutional Gallery listings or call the gallery at 803/758-4460 or e-mail at (tgeter@hikima.com).
