Iredell Museum in Statesville, NC, Features Works by Tommy York Crawford

The Iredell Museum of Arts & Heritage in Statesville, NC, is featuring the exhibition, Tommy York Crawford Remembered, 1930-1995, which will be on view through Apr. Works selected for the exhibition were taken from the Museum's permanent collection and from the collection of Sue Goodwin, Mr. Crawford's sister.

Crawford was born at Long Island on the Catawba River, but made his home in Statesville most of his life. He graduated from Duke University and received his master's degree at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, FL. In his early years as a painter, Crawford specialized in portraits, and later became a designer for Laws Stained Glass Studio. His wife, Hazel Kennedy, is also an artist.
