Wilkes Art Gallery in North Wilkesboro, NC, Features Annual Artist's League Competition

Nearly $2000 in awards in 4 categories and awards for Best In Show and a People's Choice Award will be presented at the 24th Annual Northwest Artist's League Juried Competition during the month of Apr., 2003, at the Wilkes Art Gallery in North Wilkesboro, NC.

The categories include: Paintings, Drawings and Original Prints; Miniatures; Sculpture, Pottery and Fibers; and Photography. Sponsored by the Wilkes Art Gallery, the Northwest Artists League, and numerous local businesses and individuals, this popular annual exhibit draws artists from throughout Wilkes County and the surrounding region. Sponsors for the 24th Annual Northwest Artist's League Juried Competition are Quickframe, Inc.; The Northwest Artist's League; David and Wanda Henson; Dick and Barbara Johnston; Jane and Kirk Gulden; Beverly and James Cook; Brad and Mel Shinaman; Mary Anne Caplinger; Cassie Stone Photography; Ron and Nancy Canter; Gordon and Abby Burns; Rick and Sheila Brame; Dr. Paul E. Coggins; Bob and Ginnie Story; Todd and Diana Swofford; David and Connie McNeill; Martha Brame; Dermox; and Kendall Forester.

This year's jurors are Thomas Thielemann and Lynda Lea Bonkemeyer, of Lenoir, NC.
