City Gallery at Waterfront Park in Charleston, SC, to Host It's in the Bag Purse Auction

The Center for Women will present its 3rd annual It's in the Bag Purse Auction at the City Gallery at Waterfront Park, in Charleston, SC, on Apr. 29, 2004, from 6-8:30pm (bidding closes at 8pm).

Charleston women artists and other talented ladies are creating personalized custom designed bags to benefit the Center for Women. The funds raised will be used to support the services offered by the Center for Women. The Center for Women was established in 1990 and is dedicated to helping women succeed every day through educational programs, counseling, referrals and support groups.

Designers participating in the event include: Debbie Albright, Marie Arnaud, Tippy Stern Brickman, Kain Cameron, Debi Chard, Lese Corrigan, Beki Crowell, Mary Edna Fraser, Sunny Rakestraw Gray, Barbara Hagerty, Nikki Hardin, Linda Ketner, Carolyn Murray, Susan Porter, Susan Romaine, Darcy Shankland, Carol Simmons, Jamin Slone, Sally Smith , Nance Lee Sneddon, Nancy Smythe, Paige Hathaway Thorn, Rhett Thurman, Cookie Washington, Judy Watts, and Sheri Grace Wenger.

There will be refreshments courtesy of Charleston's finest restaurants and The Wine Shop. The event's corporate sponsor is GDC and media sponsor is Charleston Magazine. A donation of $20 will be accepted at the door.
