Beet Contemporary Craft & Functional Art in Charlotte, NC, Offers Works by Betty G. Robinson

Beet Contemporary Craft & Functional Art in Charlotte, NC, is presenting the exhibit, Nether Reaches of other Worlds, featuring abstract paintings by Betty G. Robinson, on view from Apr. 7 - 30, 2008.

Robinson explores color and texture in her abstract paintings. Her work is vibrant and dramatic, sometimes suggesting the gorgeous colors in play in a coral reef setting. Other pieces are reminiscent of dreamlike imagery. All convey her joy of life via painting.

Robinson has loved art since she was a child, but took up painting later in life. She studied art at Stuart Hall, Staunton, VA, Brenau University in Gainesville, GA, and University of South Carolina. She also studied under Miles Batt, Carol Barns, and Sally B. Miller.

Robinson has exhibited her work in the past in several North and South Carolina galleries, as well as Texas and Georgia. Her works are found in many private collections, and in the corporate collections of Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, and Carolinas Medical Centers - Charlotte and Pineville.

Robinson is represented by Beet Gallery. Her work may be viewed there and also at her studio in Charlotte, called Artists Atelier, that she shares with several other gifted artists.
