I. Pinckney Simons Gallery in Beaufort, SC, Features Works by Michael Gray

The I. Pinckney Simons Gallery in Beaufort, SC, will present the exhibit, A Low Country Note Book, featuring the works of acclaimed Impressionist painter, Michael Gray. The exhibition will be on view from Apr. 4 - May 2, 2008. The collection of works is in celebration of the artists' decade of painting devoted to the South Carolina Low Country.

Gray's work can be seen in collections throughout the country. His lectures on technique and art history and philosophy are popular in America and throughout the world. Gray has lectured in universities and colleges in many US states and also in countries such as Japan and Holland.

The artist's interest in the Low Country stems from his exposure to this landscape as native South Carolinian and as a lover of the unspoiled natural venues of the low country. His "Low Country Note Book" is a retrospective of the last decade and will be hallmarked by the offering of his new book of the same title.

The gallery exhibits an ongoing collection of works by Michael Gray in both its Beaufort and Columbia, SC, locations.
