Charleston Artist Guild in Charleston, SC, Features Works by David Scheffler

The Charleston Artist Guild in Charleston, SC, will present Color It Charleston, featuring colorful streetscapes of Charleston by David Scheffler, on view in the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery, from Apr. 1 - 30, 2014. A reception will be held on Apr. 4, from 5-8pm.

Scheffler’s lifelong hobby of photography developed into a serious art form when he retired from the corporate world in 2009. After growing up in Southern Ohio where exposure to art was limited, the ability to appreciate the world as a subject for fine art took hold through his education and travels.

Scheffler has continued to further his creative evolution with workshops and courses at several institutions. He enjoys capturing streetscapes, both natural and man-made.

“There seems to be a never-ending stream of subjects. I find myself making mental notes of photo opportunities while driving, biking or walking so I can then return to the scene to get the ideal shot.”

For further information check or SC Institutional Gallery listings, call the Guild at 843/722-2454 or visit (www.charlestonartistguild.com).
