Hidell Brooks Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by Patrick Farrell & Gallery Artists

Hidell Brooks Gallery in Charlotte, NC, is pleased to announce their first solo exhibition for Patrick Farrell. Additionally the gallery will be showcasing a group exhibition which will consist of six painters. The exhibits will continue through May 26, 2001.

American painter Patrick Farrell illustrates a natural talent that has developed without formal art training of any kind. His exploration of the demanding style of "super-realism" has earned him a noteworthy place among leading painters. Farrell meticulously paints classic still lifes in oil on panel of fruits and flowers in beautiful porcelain, silver, and glass containers. The tightly rendered paintings are luminously lit and arranged to achieve elegant casualness. His paintings have been displayed in over thirty solo exhibitions and have been included in countless group exhibitions. Farrell's paintings are represented in numerous public and private collections throughout the US.

In conjunction with Farrell's exhibition, there will be a group show of new work by six gallery artists. Included are Gustavo Acosta, Eric Aho, Tom Berg, John Folsom, Charles Gatewood and Philip Geiger.
