June 4 & 5, 2004, Marks the First Annual 'Queen of Arts' NoDaFEST in Charlotte, NC

June 4 & 5, 2004, Marks the First Annual 'Queen of Arts' NoDaFEST in Charlotte, NC's Historic Arts District. The community is coming together to celebrate all the arts that make NoDa the Queen of Arts in the Queen City.

June 4, 2004, marks the kick off of NoDaFEST with the NoDa Gallery Crawl from 6 - 9pm in addition to a Chalk Art Contest on the sidewalks of NoDa. The contest will begin at 7pm and is open to all artists. Winners will be announced on Saturday. A Kids Chalk Art Contest will be held on June 5, 2004, in the Children's area.

NoDaFEST runs Saturday from noon to dark (9:30pm) followed by a special music event at the Neighborhood Theatre. There will be local and regional art vendors, musical performances, theatrical performances and great cuisine throughout the day in NoDa. The main stage and beer garden will be on 36th Street off of North Davidson Street. A Children's Stage and creative area will be on 35th street and the art and food vendors will be spread throughout the entire NoDa area. Plus all local businesses will be open for the day.
