Charlotte Area Transit System in Charlotte, NC, Offer Informational Session on May 20, 2005

CATS Art-in-Transit is planning an informational/educational session on CATS Art-in-Transit and reception for several of our area public art in transit artists in Charlotte, NC, on May 20, 2005, at the Levine Museum of the New South (5:30-7pm).

The NC artists being honored at the reception are Kit Kube, Hoss Haley, George Handy, Kathy Triplett, Rudy Rudisill and Chandra Cox. (Florida: Elizabeth Indianos).

For the outreach, we are targeting artists who would like more information on how to get involved in public art in transit in the Charlotte region. We will show a short informational video to aid in that. As you know, we are always soliciting NC/SC artists to join our registry. There is still an open and on going call and the application is still available on the CATS website at (www.ridetransit.org).

Incidentally, if you go to the CATS website, you can see that we now have 3 art in transit projects that have been installed - by Handy, Triplett, and Haley.

For further information contact Mason Downing, CATS Art-in-Transit Program Administrator at 704/432-3017.
