Smith Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Jennifer Smith Rogers

Smith Killian Fine Art in Charleston, SC, will present new works in oil by Jennifer Smith Rogers from May 5 - 19, 2006.

Smith Rogers' latest body of work depicts local nocturne land and cityscapes. She has an astonishing knack for capturing the natural light of the moon reflected in local creeks and waterways, as well as, the artificially lit historic streets of the Holy City.

"This series of paintings evokes a mood in the viewer whether it is quiet and serene or invigorating. There is nothing that calms me more than the rising of a full moon and the way it highlights the ever changing clouds and tides. On the other hand, the energy and vibrancy of the streets can't help but enliven one's spirit," says Smith Rogers.

Collectors and admirers will be impressed with this new collection of paintings.

2006 has been a busy year for Smith Rogers, so far. In addition to painting sixteen nightscapes for this exhibit, she has also been planning for the arrival of her second baby girl.
