TC Arts in Brevard, NC, Offers Works by 3 Artists

The Transylvania Community Arts Council announces the exhibit A Natural Connection, featuring paintings by Marion Bramlette, photography and poetry by Gus Napier and jewelry by the late Virginia Gailey. The three artists are united by a 40-year friendship and a love of the natural world. This exhibit will open on May 21 and will be on view through June 22, 2007, at the TC Arts Center in Brevard, NC.

To honor the life of Mrs. Gailey, who passed away suddenly in Aug. 2006, the Arts Council is sponsoring an "Emerging Jewelers" Competition to encourage the careers of new jewelers in Western North Carolina. The juried work will be on display during the showing of A Natural Connection. An award ceremony for the jewelry competition will take place at the gallery on May 25, 2007.

TC Arts is a nonprofit organization with the mission to "Celebrate and Nurture the Creative Spirit in Transylvania County." The Arts Council receives support from TC Arts Members, the City of Brevard, Transylvania County Schools, and the North Carolina Arts Council.
