Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Offers Works by Kim Schuessler

Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will feature a one-woman show of new works by Kim Schuessler. The exhibit will be on view from May 3 -31, 2008. Schuessler work is always in high demand and her shows are a crowd favorite among the Charlotte art scene.

Using paint, paper and stenciling, Schuessler creates joyously fun figures to capture life's simple moments in a complex collage. Paint splatters, torn papers and written words on a colorful canvas adds vibrant energy to each painting.

Schuessler's lighthearted images come with a serious art background. Educated at the University of Georgia and Parsons School of Design in New York, Schuessler has honed her talent. She also spent time studying with Dan Connally in Cortona, Italy and at the University of Bourgogne in Dijon, France.

Schuessler has over 30 exhibitions to her credit, featured in many publications, and numerous corporate and private collections spanning from Hawaii to the East Coast. Recently, Schuessler's artwork was chosen for the invitation and program for the Congressional Club luncheon honoring Laura Bush in Washington, DC.

Shain Gallery, located in the heart of Myers Park in Charlotte, has been on the forefront of the Charlotte art scene since opening their doors in 1998. The gallery represents many regional and national artists.
