ArtSource North Hills in Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Larry Dean and Karen Scott Unveils

ArtSource North Hills in Raleigh, NC, will present Local Color, featuring works by Larry Dean and Karen Scott, from May 10 through June 7, 2013. A reception will be held on May 10, from 7-9pm.

Raleigh artists Larry Dean and Karen Scott, both acrylic painters, use pulsing, vivid colors to display works of optimism.

Dean, artist and musician, travels the city with camera in hand to catch notorious landscapes in the area. He writes that he takes pride in conveying “respect for the history and culture of North Carolina.” Using the plush colors of North Carolina, Dean emphasizes the southern state’s beauty.

Scott, Investigator with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office, paints scenes filled with lively brush work. Colors of bright teal, periwinkle & hot pink provide a release from her day job and trigger her creations of positive affirmation.
