Charles II Art Gallery in Charleston, SC, Features Works by Berhent Stoltz

Charles II Art Gallery in Charleston, SC, will present the exhibit, Bring On The Heat, featuring nearly 200 large hand blow glass bowls and vases by Berhent Stoltz. The exhibit will be on view from June 3 - 30, 2005.

How do you beat the summer heat in Charleston? If your local glass blower Berhent Stoltz, you spend hours in front of a 2000 degree oven doing physical labor, then eighty-five or ninety degrees is relative. Working from the Swamp Art Studio under one of South Carolina's master glass blowers, Herman Leonhardt, Stoltz is producing some of the most beautiful fine art glass in the region. A permanent exhibitor at Charles II Art Gallery in Charleston, people are recognizing his name and works frequently, and he now has collectors coast to coast.

"Like all hand made things, my glass works have a special appeal," says Stoltz. "They not only brighten up a room or change the atmosphere of a living area, but they bring people pleasure. Working with the elements of molten glass and fire is such a dynamic activity for me personally that at times there is nothing I would rather be doing."
