The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville in Greenville, SC, will present the exhibit, Emotional Diving, featuring works by Cynda LuClaire, on view from June 1 - 30, 2008.

This exhibition will include several thought-provoking and humorous self portraits. LuClaire's paintings are colorful, tattletale images of the relationship we have with ourselves and with others. "I love to work with watercolor, wax, and acrylic; and occasionally I use oils. My only rule regarding my art is - 'There Are No Rules!'," LuClaire says about her work.

LuClaire was born and raised in Traverse City, MI. She lived in Texas for several years, where her paintings were featured in the Houston Chronicle and the Anthology of Houston Artist annual publication. She currently exhibits in galleries in Michigan; Texas; Wyoming; Nevada; and Greenville, SC. Included among her many awards, is the 2004 Congressional Award, for her original watercolor/acrylic/ink painting Live Your Best Life, which hung in Washington, DC. before being acquired by an art collector in 2006.

LuClaire uses her art to express the uniqueness of women and their complex emotional lives. In the fall of 2007, she moved to Greenville and recently became a member of the Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville.
