RedSky Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features 4th Teapot Exhibition

RedSky Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present the exhibit, Teapots Across America: A Juried Exhibition on view from June 13 through Aug. 13, 2008. This is the fourth Annual Juried North American Teapot exhibition shown at RedSky Gallery. The exhibition includes 38 teapots by artists from across the United States and Canada. These outstanding selections were chosen from over 100 entries.

The exhibition is being judged by Mark Leach, former Founding Director of the Mint Museum of Craft + Design in Charlotte and currently Executive Director of the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem, NC.

The winning teapots will be in several categories including: 1st Place - Best of Show, Traditional Folk Art, Asian Influence, Altered and/or Re-Assembled, and Most Innovative.

All teapots in the show will be available for purchase.

Artists participating in the exhibit include: Jake Allee, Ken Horvath, Roberta Polfus, Nancy Arkuss, Jancy Jaslow, Bryan Quincannon, Seth Barendse, Samuel Johnson, Joan Rasmussen, Sharon Bartmann, Krista Loomans, Allison Rednour, John Britt, Vladim Malkin, Terry Shipley, Tom Budzak, Joel Manson, Rebekah Strickland, Ray Chen, Jennifer Mapplebeck, Iva Talacko, Joe Davis, Lambeth Marshall, Ron Taylor, Barbara Davis, Raine Middleton, James Tingey, Alice Delisle, Una Mjurka, Kingsley White, Kyle Engoian, Margit Nellemann, Verna Witt, Julia Feld, Lorene Nickel, Charles Wood, Dan Greenfield, and An-yi Pan.
