Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC, Features Works by a Tryon Area Art Collector

Tryon Painters and Sculptors will host an exhibit entitled, A Passionate Collection, featuring a personal collection of a local resident, at the Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC, on view through July 22, 2003.

The collector says, "This collection of art works evolved from a terribly traditional front, to that of a contemporary and abstract one with a heavy emphasis toward color and design. Collecting is such a personal journey for the collector, and it matters not whether anyone else is in tune with it, as long as each piece in the lot speaks to the collector."

This collection consists of a very ecumenical selection of artists from the interior of Mexico to the US and several other countries.
