The Artists' Gallery at Lumina (T.A.G.) in Wilmington, NC, Features Works by Vadim Bora and Gail Henderson

The Artists' Gallery at Lumina (T.A.G.) in Wilmington, NC, will present a two-person exhibition entitled, New & Different, featuring the works of master sculptor and painter Vadim Bora as well as those of local painter Gail Henderson. The exhibit will be on view from July 16 through Aug. 12, 2004.

Vadim Bora

Bora introduces two new series of work - paintings, entitled, Rocks & Water, and sculptures entitled, Seasons. The metaphorical works in Rocks & Water, rendered in bold atmospheric colors and texture, examine the relationships of man and his place in time. The allegorical works of figure and landscape evoke scenes that transcends time altogether - primeval, present, and future.

Seasons, hand-patinaed terra cotta sculptures reflect the bounty of the earth in female form - round, full, and exuberant.

Bora, who came to the US some 10 years ago from the Caucasus region of Russia, consistently explores universal themes of life, love, rebirth, and the question of man's purpose. His works can be found in the permanent collections at the Ministry of Culture Collection, Moscow, Russia; North Ossetia Museum of Art, Vladikavkaz, Russia; Museum of History, Ethnology, and Archeology, Vladikavkaz, Russia; and in private and corporate collections worldwide.

The Artists' Gallery at Lumina (T.A.G.) promotes fine arts and master crafts in the fields of painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, glass, textile, and hand crafted furniture. The gallery's focus is on original contemporary works that maintain quality and integrity, however unique and diverse. The gallery represents local artists' as well as artists' located throughout the United States.
