Caldwell Arts Council in Lenoir, NC, Features Community Exhibit

The Caldwell Arts Council, and The Family, Infant and Preschool Program (FIPP) presents the art exhibit, Pathways to the Arts: A Celebration of Artists, Communities, and Families, on view through July 29, 2005, at the Art-in-Community Gallery, located at the Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce in Lenoir, NC.

This show displays works by professional regional artists alongside the first artistic attempts of young Caldwell County children and their families. It also features photos and information about the project, and observations by families and professional participants. Some art will be available for purchase.

Visitors to the exhibit are encouraged to take part in the creation of art work, or to write comments about what art meant to you as a young child.

This project is funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Pathways to the Arts project promotes parents and children exploring art together, and connects families with local artists from their communities in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and McDowell counties. FIPP may be contacted directly at: Family, Infant & Preschool Program, J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center, 300 Enola Rd., Morganton, NC 28655, 828-433-2661 or at (www.fipp.org).
