July Issue 2010

WICKWIRE fine art/folk art in Hendersonville, NC, Features Works by Robin Anne Coopers

WICKWIRE fine art/folk art in Hendersonville, NC, will present an exhibit of works by Robin Anne Coopers on view from July 1 - 31, 2010.

Whimsical is the first word that comes to mind when viewing Coopers' artwork. The process used to create her signature acrylic painted canvas collages was discovered via a series of experiments. Through a labor and time intensive process of painting large canvases, cutting them in a multitude of shapes and finally gluing these to create textured images, Coopers completes striking and memorable works of art that enhance any environment.

Coopers has been tapping her creative skills for many years but has recently changed from an Internet project manager to a full time artist. Thrilled to have discovered the right outlet for her creative energy, she has taken skills acquired in the business world and is applying the same discipline and know-how to get her art showcased and into the right home.

Throughout her adult life, Coopers has lived in the Netherlands, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. She has returned to her hometown of Clemson, SC, with its unmatched beauty and deeply genuine people. In addition to pursuing her art, she is raising a son, a cat and two turtles.
