TCarts in Brevard, NC, Offers 2003 Invitational Show
Transylvania
County Arts Council (TCarts) in Brevard, NC, presents its 2003
Invitational Show A Stitch In Time, Aug. 8 through Sept.
15, 2003, featuring pieces by 33 outstanding regional fabric and
fiber artists.
Hand-woven tapestries, whimsical fabric dolls, art quilts, tartans, silk-screened scarves, miniature kimonos, textile collages, hand-knit sweaters, cross-stitch embroidery, and hand-made jackets will fill the main gallery and alcove with color and diversity.
Artists represent Buncombe, Cherokee, Haywood,
Henderson, Jackson, Polk and Transylvania Counties in NC. They
also are from Charlotte, NC, The Southern Highland Craft Guild
and the Penland School of Craft.
They include Edwina Bringle, Betty Carlson, Kimberly Childs, Beverly
Cowan, Gabe Cyr, Anita Dorfman, Ellen Foltz, Sarah Gottfried,
Madelene Gozansky, Kathryn Gremley, Nancy Hammel, Neal Howard,
Miyuki Imai, Nora Klepps, Astrid Loveland, Jean Martin, Martha
Matthews, Nancy MacDonald, Joy McGill, Barbara Miller, Betty Garner
