Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC, Features Sculpturama 2009

The Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, NC, will present the 12th Biennial Tryon Painters & Sculptors' Juried Show - Sculpturama 2009, on view from Sept. 13 through Oct. 24, 2009.

Sculpturama 2008 was such a phenomenal success that we were urged to offer the event again this year. Artists from all over the Southeast entered 90 wood, clay, metal, found objects, fabric, stone and mixed media sculptures. This year we are offering an even greater incentive for sculptors to enter the show. All entries will be available for sale during our Bonus Market Day event on Sept. 4, 2009, from 10am to 7pm in Gallery One & the Mural Room at the Tryon Fine Arts Center.

For collectors, Market Day will be a fine opportunity to have the first chance to purchase one-of-a-kind works of art from established as well as emerging artisans.

All entries will be for sale (unless marked NFS - not for sale), whether juried into Sculpturama 2009 or not. Entries not juried into the Show will be available for the buyer to take with them on Market Day. All pieces juried into the Show will be available to the buyer to take with them on Oct. 27, at the close of the exhibit.

Sculpturama 2009 is made available and supported in part by the Tryon Fine Arts Center with funds from the Grassroots Arts Program of the NC Arts Council, a state agency and from a grant from the Arthur M. and Frances H. Wilhelm Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.

For further information check our NC Institutional Gallery listings, call the Center at 828/859-8322 or visit (www.tryontfac.org).
