Council For The Arts in Jacksonville, NC, Offers Works by Emerging Artists

The Council For The Arts in Jacksonville, NC, will present Emergent South, featuring works by up and coming local artists and one from Wilmington, NC, JTC, Tara King, Reedicus, Jennifer Rust, Ben Stone, and Alan Tromba, on view from Aug. 5 - 30, 2013. A reception will be held on Aug. 5, from 7-10pm.

The exhibition aims to highlight local modern artists from eastern North Carolina and showcase new art.

Tara King is an Emerald Island based artist exhibiting paintings of “grand and small connections.” Alan Tromba is a Jacksonville based artist exhibiting wood cuts of “wacky stuff from my head.” Ben Stone is a Jacksonville based artist exhibiting photographs of “city and wild landscapes.”

Jennifer Rust is a Jacksonville based artist exhibiting paintings of “geometric shapes.” Reedicus is a Wilmington based artist exhibiting various mediums “exploring illustrative design”. JTC is a Jacksonville based artist displaying paintings of “portraits of all the artists in the show.”
