Works by Amy Funderburk at New Hickory, NC, Gallery
Amy Funderburk is the first featured artist in the Window Gallery at the new Full Circle Arts gallery in Hickory, NC. Her solo show of figurative oils entitled Wisdom of the Ancient Lore: Selections from Two Symbolic Series consists of 8 large works from the two components of that body of work. Five smaller related paintings that served as studies for some of the larger works augment the exhibit. In her visual narrative series, Funderburk uses mythology from various cultures as modern metaphor. The exhibit will be on view through Oct. 1.
